DestinationAGo ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and web application.

Information We Collect

Location Data: With your permission, we collect approximate GPS coordinates solely to power nearby-search features (e.g., On The Go, weather). Location data is never stored on our servers beyond the duration of your search request.

Usage Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated data about how features are used (e.g., which screens are visited most) to improve the app. This data cannot identify you personally.

User-Generated Content: Checklists, budgets, and planner entries are stored locally on your device using browser storage. We do not transmit or store this data on our servers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide and improve app functionality; respond to your support and feedback requests; detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive use of our services; and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Search requests are routed through our secure Cloudflare Worker proxy, which calls third-party APIs (Mapbox, OpenWeatherMap, and Google Places) on your behalf without directly exposing your identity to those providers.

Third-party services integrated into DestinationAGo maintain their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them independently.

Data Retention

We do not retain personal data on our servers. Location data used for reverse-geocoding is processed in-memory and discarded immediately after the API response is returned to your device. App preferences and travel data stored on your device remain under your control and can be cleared at any time.

Children's Privacy

DestinationAGo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.

Your Rights & Choices

You may revoke location permission at any time through your device settings. Because we do not store personal data on our servers, there is no account to delete. For any data concerns, contact us at destinationago@destinationago.com.

Security

We implement industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, a secure Cloudflare Worker proxy to shield API keys, and no server-side storage of personally identifiable information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of DestinationAGo after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

Terms of Use

By using DestinationAGo you agree to use the app for lawful purposes only. You may not use this app to harvest data, violate third-party terms of service, or engage in any activity that disrupts or damages the app or its infrastructure. We reserve the right to terminate access for violations of these terms.
